The first step in the design process is to schedule a consultation.  Discovering your favorite garden or landscape style can come from many forms (magazines, internet, television programs, other gardens, etc.).  A garden consultation is an opportunity for us to meet with you and discuss aspects of your garden and how it relates to all this information.  A consultation includes discussing specifics: color preferences, landscape style (northwest, formal, contemporary), plant types (fruiting, flowering, evergreen, deciduous), ‘must have’ plants,  garden types (vegetable, cutting, herb), and outdoor cooking/entertaining areas. A consultation of 1-2 hours is usually sufficient. Once the consultation is completed, you can decide if you would like to proceed with a landscape design (see Design Process).
